SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
50 ILCS 725/3.4   from Ch. 85, par. 2557

    Amends the Uniform Peace Officers' Disciplinary Act. Requires that a peace officer under investigation shall be informed in writing (now, not required to be written) of the name, rank, and unit or command of the officer in charge of the investigation, the interrogators, and all persons who will be present on the behalf of the employer (now, all persons present during any interrogation) during any interrogation except at a public administrative proceeding.

1     AN ACT concerning peace officers.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Uniform Peace Officers' Disciplinary Act is
5 amended by changing Section 3.4 as follows:
 
6     (50 ILCS 725/3.4)  (from Ch. 85, par. 2557)
7     Sec. 3.4. The officer under investigation shall be informed
8 in writing of the name, rank and unit or command of the officer
9 in charge of the investigation, the interrogators, and all
10 persons who will be present on the behalf of the employer
11 during any interrogation except at a public administrative
12 proceeding.
