4 | 1, on page 36, in line 33 by inserting "20-25," after "20-10,"; | ||||||

6 | on page 43, by inserting after line 7 the following:

7 | "(30 ILCS 500/20-25)

8 | Sec. 20-25. Sole source procurements. In accordance with
| ||||||
9 | standards set by rule,
contracts may be awarded without use of | ||||||
10 | the specified
method of source selection when
there is only one | ||||||
11 | economically feasible source for the item. This Section may not | ||||||
12 | be used as a basis for amending a contract if the amendment | ||||||
13 | would result in an increase in the amount paid under the | ||||||
14 | contract of more than 5% of the initial award, or would extend | ||||||
15 | the contract term beyond the time reasonably needed for a | ||||||
16 | competitive procurement, not to exceed 2 months. At
least 2 | ||||||
17 | weeks before entering
into a sole source contract, the | ||||||
18 | purchasing agency shall publish
in the Illinois Procurement
| ||||||
19 | Bulletin a notice of intent to do so along with a description | ||||||
20 | of
the item to be procured and the
intended sole source | ||||||
21 | contractor. The changes to this Section made by this amendatory | ||||||
22 | Act of the 94th General Assembly apply to amendments executed | ||||||
23 | on or after its effective date.
