SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Ronald Victor Rouse of
4 Orlando, Florida, formerly of East St. Louis, on Friday, June
5 30, 2006; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born to John H. Rouse and Mary G. Rouse on
7 December 29, 1970, in Henderson, Kentucky; he moved with his
8 family to East Saint Louis in 1975; he accepted Christ and was
9 baptized at a very young age at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist
10 Church under the pastorate of his father, Pastor John H. Rouse;
11 and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was a very active youth in Mt. Zion, serving as
13 a youth usher and in the youth choir and winning the hearts of
14 many of the older adults; he graduated from Lincoln Sr. High
15 School in East St. Louis; and
 
16     WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, Mr. Rouse
17 attended Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida,
18 where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree in computer
19 science and was a member of the nationally known Concert
20 Chorale as a baritone/bass singer; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Following graduation, he decided to make Florida
22 his permanent home; he attended the Mt. Olive Church in
23 Orlando, Florida; he went on to pursue a Masters of Business
24 Administration Degree, graduating from the St. Louis Campus of
25 Webster College; he then began work on his doctorate degree and
26 had a year and a half left to complete his studies; and
 
27     WHEREAS, He was employed at the Sun Trust Bank of Orlando,
28 Florida, where he made many friends; he was a fun-loving person
29 that enjoyed making people laugh; and

1     WHEREAS, The passing of Ronald Victor Rouse has been deeply
2 felt by many, especially his father and mother, John H. and
3 Mary G. Rouse; his brothers, Darius John and Walter Roy; his
4 sisters, Velvet Rochelle and Brandi Rene; his grandmother,
5 Evelyn Rouse; his aunt, Sylvia Glass; many that he called his
6 brothers and sisters; his other relatives; and his many
7 friends; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10 Ronald Victor Rouse, and we extend our sincere condolences to
11 his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12 further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
15 sympathy.
