SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for hippotherapy (horse therapy) services for autistic children and other persons suffering from conditions including, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and learning or language disabilities who could benefit from such services.  Effective July 1, 2008.

    AN ACT making appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The sum of $500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for hippotherapy (horse therapy) services for autistic children and other persons suffering from conditions including, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and learning or language disabilities who could benefit from such services.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.
