SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
New Act

    Declares that certain State property in Will County controlled by the Department of Corrections is "surplus property" that shall be sold pursuant to the State Property Control Act. Provides that the moneys received from the sale to be deposited into the Road Fund and that these moneys shall be used to pay for the costs of the Interstate 55 and Weber Road interchange project. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning concerning real property.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. Legislative declaration. The General Assembly
5 declares that the State of Illinois has surplus real property
6 situated in the vicinity of Weber Road and West Division Street
7 in Will County which is a parcel containing 200 acres, more or
8 less, that is located in Section 19, Township 36 North, Range
9 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian in the County of Will,
10 State of Illinois, this parcel being more particularly
11 described under Section 10 of this Act, which is under the
12 control of the Department of Corrections.
 
13     Section 10. Property sale.
14     (a) The Director of Corrections, on behalf of the State of
15 Illinois and the Department of Corrections, must convey by quit
16 claim deed all right, title, and interest of the State of
17 Illinois and the Department of Corrections in and to real
18 property situated in the vicinity of Weber Road and West
19 Division Street in Will County which is a parcel containing 200
20 acres, more or less, that is located in Section 19, Township 36
21 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian in the
22 County of Will, State of Illinois, this parcel being more
23 particularly described in a legal description to be made by an

1 Illinois professional land surveyor, the cost to be paid by the
2 purchaser, described in Section 5 to the Director of Central
3 Management Services for disposition pursuant to subsections
4 (a), (d), and (e) of Section 7.1 of the State Property Control
5 Act.
6     (b) Notwithstanding the provision in subsection (d) of
7 Section 7.1 of the State Property Control Act that requires
8 that moneys received for the sale of surplus property be
9 deposited in the General Revenue Fund, all moneys received from
10 the sale of the surplus real property under this Section shall
11 be deposited into the Road Fund.
 
12     Section 15. Recording. The Director of Central Management
13 Services shall obtain a certified copy of this Act within 60
14 days after this Act's effective date, and upon receipt of
15 payment shall record the certified document in the recorder's
16 office in the county in which the land is located.
 
17     Section 20. Interstate 55 Interchange project. Subject to
18 appropriation, an amount of money in the Road Fund equal to the
19 amount of money deposited into the Road Fund pursuant to
20 Section 10 shall be used by the Department of Transportation to
21 pay for the cost of the highway interchange project on
22 Interstate Highway 55 at Weber Road in Will County.
 
23     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
24 becoming law.
