| AN ACT concerning employment.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 1701 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 1701. Rules and
and
regulations. General and special |
| 8 |
| rules may be adopted, amended, or rescinded by the
Director |
| 9 |
| only after public hearing or opportunity to be heard thereon, |
| 10 |
| of
which proper notice has been given. General rules shall |
| 11 |
| become effective
ten days after filing with the Secretary of |
| 12 |
| State and publication in one or
more newspapers of general |
| 13 |
| circulation in this State. Special rules shall
become effective |
| 14 |
| ten days after notification to or mailing to the last
known |
| 15 |
| address of the individuals or concerns affected thereby. |
| 16 |
| Regulations
may be adopted, amended, or rescinded by the |
| 17 |
| Director and shall become
effective ten days after filing with |
| 18 |
| the Secretary of State, and such
filing shall be public notice |
| 19 |
| of such regulation, amendment thereto, or
rescission thereof, |
| 20 |
| as the case may be.
