| AN ACT concerning public safety.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Gasoline Receptacle Labeling Act is amended |
5 |
| by adding Section 2.5 as follows: |
6 |
| (430 ILCS 20/2.5 new)
|

| Sec. 2.5. Dispensing of flammable or combustible liquids by |
8 |
| minors. It is unlawful for a minor under the age of 12 to |
9 |
| dispense flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, |
10 |
| kerosene, and diesel, from any portable container, whether |
11 |
| plastic or metal, unless the minor is supervised by an adult. |
12 |
| Each manufacturer shall affix a permanent warning label on each |
13 |
| portable container used for dispensing flammable or |
14 |
| combustible liquids that reads: "MINORS UNDER THE AGE OF 12 |
15 |
| SHALL NOT DISPENSE FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS FROM |
16 |
| PORTABLE CONTAINERS UNLESS SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT." The letters |
17 |
| shall be three-sixteenths inch in height and shall have a color |
18 |
| that is different from the color of the container and |
19 |
| distinctive so the warning can be easily read by the user.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
21 |
| becoming law.
|
