SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
New Act

     Creates the State Travel Expense Reimbursement Act. Prohibits the use of State funds and State-compensated time for travel to or from the State capital work location of a person elected to, appointed to, acting on behalf of, or employed in a State executive branch position.

1     AN ACT concerning State employees.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the State
5 Travel Expense Reimbursement Act.
 
6     Section 5. Travel expense reimbursement. No State funds
7 shall be used to pay or reimburse, and no State-compensated
8 time shall be used by, a person elected to, appointed to,
9 acting on behalf of the State in, or employed full time, part
10 time, temporarily, or on a contractual basis in a position in
11 the executive branch of State government for travel to or from
12 that person's State work location in the State capital.
