| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding |
| 5 |
| Section 143.13b as follows:
|

| (215 ILCS 5/143.13b new) |

| Sec. 143.13b. At-fault motorist; reporting. Any at-fault |
| 8 |
| motorist must report an accident to his or her insurance |
| 9 |
| provider within 10 days after an accident.
