    Amends the Non-Support Punishment Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning prosecutions by the Attorney General.

1     AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Non-Support Punishment Act is amended by
5 changing Section 7 as follows:
 
6     (750 ILCS 16/7)
7     Sec. 7. Prosecutions by Attorney General. In addition to
8 enforcement proceedings by the the several State's Attorneys, a
9 proceeding for the enforcement of this Act may be instituted
10 and prosecuted by the Attorney General in cases referred by the
11 Department of Healthcare and Family Services involving persons
12 receiving child support enforcement services under Article X of
13 the Illinois Public Aid Code. Before referring a case to the
14 Attorney General for enforcement under this Act, the Department
15 of Healthcare and Family Services shall notify the person
16 receiving child support enforcement services under Article X of
17 the Illinois Public Aid Code of the Department's intent to
18 refer the case to the Attorney General under this Section for
19 prosecution.
