HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to thank the Illinois Attorney General's
4 staff for assistance in the drafting of House Bill 1478; and
 
5     WHEREAS, House Bill 1478, as amended, amends the
6 Residential License Act of 1987 to protect consumers from
7 certain home loan practices and authorizes the Attorney General
8 to enforce certain provisions of the Act; and
 
9     WHEREAS, The Attorney General staff members most
10 responsible for drafting House Bill 1478 are Deborah Hagan,
11 Chief, Consumer Protection Division; Tom James, Senior
12 Assistant Attorney General; Veronica Spicer, Assistant
13 Attorney General, unit supervisor; Steve Wrone, Policy
14 Advisor, Consumer Division; and Sarah Alipourian, Assistant
15 Attorney General; and
 
16     WHEREAS, The hard work and dedication of the staff makes
17 the work of the legislature flow smoothly on a daily basis;
18 without the long hours and sacrifice that the staff exerts, we,
19 as members of the Illinois House of Representatives, would have
20 a difficult time doing the work of the people; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The Attorney General staff's knowledge of the law

1 and consumer protection issues have proven invaluable in the
2 drafting of House Bill 1478; therefore, be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
4 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
5 thank the Attorney General's staff for the assistance in
6 drafting House Bill 1478; and be it further
 
7     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
8 presented to Deborah Hagan, Tom James, Veronica Spicer, Steve
9 Wrone, and Sarah Alipourian as a symbol of our respect.
