SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
525 ILCS 40/5   from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 5906

    Amends the State Forest Act. Provides that all revenue from the sale of timber from State forests shall be deposited into the Wildlife and Fish Fund. Effective July 1, 2007.

1     AN ACT concerning conservation.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The State Forest Act is amended by changing
5 Section 5 as follows:
 
6     (525 ILCS 40/5)  (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 5906)
7     Sec. 5. Timber grown on such forests may be sold under
8 rules and regulations of the department, but all cutting and
9 removal of forest products shall be in accordance with the best
10 practices of forestry. The department shall make such forests
11 accessible to the general public by improved highways leading
12 through them. All revenue from the sale of timber under this
13 Section shall be deposited into the Wildlife and Fish Fund.

15     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
16 2007.
