SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Mary Frances Bowers of Memphis,
4 Tennessee, formerly of Centralia, who passed away on December
5 30, 2007; and
 
6     WHEREAS, She was born on January 23, 1947 in Bolivar,
7 Tennessee; she was the daughter of John Henry and Bennie Ruth
8 (Crisp) Jones; and
 
9     WHEREAS, She graduated from Lincoln Grade School in
10 Centralia and Hammond High School in Hammond, Indiana; and
 
11     WHEREAS, She was employed with U.S. Steel as a computer
12 analyst until her retirement; she was of the Baptist faith; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
14 brothers, Butch Jones, Larry Jones, and Seneca Jones; and her
15 sisters, Sharon Addison, Melroy Perry, Marvaline Jones, and
16 Kathye Jones; and
 
17     WHEREAS, The passing of Mary Frances Bowers will be deeply
18 felt by those who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
19 Willie Bowers Jr.; her daughters, Tara Jones and Tonya Ordan
20 and husband, James; her adopted son, Trevion Decari

1 Jones-Bowers; her eighteen grandchildren; her sisters, Janet
2 Isaiah and husband, Oscar, and Penny Giboney; her brothers,
3 Johnnie R. Jones, Pierre Simmons and wife, Chris, and John H.
4 Daniels; her special friend, Carolyn Beavers; and many uncles,
5 aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 her family and friends, the passing of Mary Frances Bowers; and
9 be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Mary Frances Bowers as a symbol of
12 our sincere sympathy.
