SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $8,200,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for grants under the Parents Too Soon Program and for grants and administrative expenses related to the Healthy Families Program, all for community-based home-visiting programs for parents of young, high-risk children.  Effective July 1, 2009.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

Section 5.  The sum of $8,200,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for grants under the Parents Too Soon Program and for grants and administrative expenses related to the Healthy Families Program, all for community-based home-visiting programs for parents of young, high-risk children.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
