SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $31,600,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department on Aging for increases in wages and health insurance assistance for Community Care Program workers.  Appropriates $3,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services, for increases in wages and health insurance assistance for Home Services Program workers.  Effective July 1, 2009.

$AGING-DHS-HOME/COMMUNITY CARE

 

 

 


    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

     Section 5. The sum of $31,600,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department on Aging for the following purposes:

      (1) For a $1.19-per-hour rate increase for the Community Care Program to provide for a minimum $0.70-per-hour wage increase for workers, $28,300,000.

      (2) For a $0.13-per-hour rate increase to increase health insurance assistance for Community Care Program workers, $3,300,00.

 

    Section 10. The sum of $3,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services, for the following purposes:

      (1) For a $1.19-per-hour rate increase for the Home Services Program to provide for a minimum $0.70-per-hour wage increase for workers, $2,700,000.

      (2) For a $0.13-per-hour rate increase to increase health insurance assistance for Home Services Program workers, $300,000.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
