Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Labor for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010, as follows:

General Funds                     $5,197,400

Other State Funds                $  500,000

Federal Funds                     $1,500,000

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

ARTICLE 1

 

    Section 5.  The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Labor:

FOR OPERATIONS - GENERAL OFFICE

Payable from General Revenue Fund:

  For Personal Services............................ 990,000

  For State Contributions to

    Social Security................................. 75,800

  For Contractual Services......................... 306,000

  For Travel........................................ 19,000

  For Commodities................................... 10,000

  For Printing....................................... 2,000

  For Equipment.......................................... 0

  For Electronic Data Processing.................... 39,000

  For Telecommunications Services................... 25,400

    Total                                        $1,467,200

 

    Section 10.  The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Labor:

FAIR LABOR STANDARDS

Payable from General Revenue Fund:

  For State Contributions to

    Social Security................................ 169,800

  For Contractual Services.......................... 50,000

  For Travel........................................ 63,400

  For Commodities.................................... 9,500

  For Printing...................................... 11,000

  For Equipment...................................... 3,000

  For Telecommunications Services................... 46,100

Payable From the Child Labor and Day and

 Temporary Labor Services Enforcement Fund:

  For Administration of the Child

   Labor Law and Day and Temporary

   Labor Services Act.............................. 500,000

 

    Section 20.  In addition to any other funds appropriated for that purpose, the sum of $81,100 is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Labor for all costs associated with promoting and enforcing the Equal Pay Act and the Victims Economic Security and Safety Act.

 

    Section 25.  The amount of $1,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Department of Labor Federal Trust Fund to the Department of Labor for all costs associated with promoting and enforcing the occupational safety and health administration state program for public sector worksites.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
