SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

215 ILCS 170/52.5 new
305 ILCS 5/5-5.06 new

    Amends the Children's Health Insurance Program Act, the Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act, and the Illinois Public Aid Code to provide that beginning on July 1, 2009, reimbursement for dental services provided in accordance with the respective Acts may not be lower than 64% of the reimbursement level that the State of Illinois reimburses dentists for dental services provided to State employees under the State Employees Group Insurance Act.

1     AN ACT concerning insurance.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is
5 amended by adding Section 65 as follows:
 
6     (215 ILCS 106/65 new)
7     Sec. 65. Fee schedule. Beginning on July 1, 2009,
8 reimbursement for any dental service provided to children
9 covered under this Act may not be lower than 64% of the
10 reimbursement level that the State of Illinois reimburses
11 dentists for dental services provided to State employees under
12 the State Employees Group Insurance Act.
 
13     Section 10. The Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act is
14 amended by adding Section 52.5 as follows:
 
15     (215 ILCS 170/52.5 new)
16     Sec. 52.5. Fee schedule. Beginning on July 1, 2009, the
17 dentist fee schedule for the Program for any dental service may
18 not be lower than 64% of the reimbursement level that the State
19 of Illinois reimburses dentists for dental services provided to
20 State employees under the State Employees Group Insurance Act.

1     Section 15. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
2 adding Section 5-5.06 as follows:
 
3     (305 ILCS 5/5-5.06 new)
4     Sec. 5-5.06. Fee schedule. Notwithstanding any other
5 provision of this Article, beginning on July 1, 2009,
6 reimbursement for any dental service may not be lower than 64%
7 of the reimbursement level that the State of Illinois
8 reimburses dentists for dental services provided to State
9 employees under the State Employees Group Insurance Act.
