SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
520 ILCS 5/3.2b new
30 ILCS 105/5.719 new

    Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources may issue hunting pins to any holder of a hunting permit who is able to prove a lawful and successful hunt under the Code. Provides that the Department has the authority to promulgate rules pertaining to the charges (at least $5 per pin) and procedure required for receiving a pin. Creates the DNR Technology Fund as a special fund in the State treasury for use by the Department to purchase computers, radios, and other equipment to aide the Department in conservation programs. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning wildlife.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section
5 3.2b as follows:
 
6     (520 ILCS 5/3.2b new)
7     Sec. 3.2b. Hunting pins. The Department may issue hunting
8 pins to any holder of a hunting permit that is able to prove a
9 lawful and successful hunt under the Code. The Department may
10 promulgate rules setting out the charge for hunting pins, of
11 not less than $5 per pin, and the procedure required to prove a
12 lawful and successful hunt under this Section. Moneys collected
13 from the pins under this Section shall be deposited into the
14 DNR Technology Fund and, subject to appropriation, shall be
15 used by the Department to purchase computers, radios, and other
16 equipment to aide the Department in conservation programs.
 
17     Section 10. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
18 Section 5.719 as follows:
 
19     (30 ILCS 105/5.719 new)
20     Sec. 5.719. The DNR Technology Fund.

2 becoming law.
