1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5571

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5571 by replacing | ||||||
3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | "Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding | ||||||
5 | Section 9.07 as follows: | ||||||
6 | (30 ILCS 105/9.07 new) | ||||||
7 | Sec. 9.07. Freeze; promotional expenditures. For a period | ||||||
8 | of 2 years beginning on the effective date of this amendatory | ||||||
9 | Act of the 96th General Assembly, no amounts from the General | ||||||
10 | Revenue Fund may be expended for the following specific | ||||||
11 | promotional items: calendars, pens, buttons, pins, and | ||||||
12 | magnets. This prohibition applies to expenditures by State | ||||||
13 | agencies and also to expenditures by State grant recipients | ||||||
14 | from grant moneys. Contracts entered into by the State before | ||||||
15 | the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General | ||||||
16 | Assembly are exempt from the provisions of this Section.
