SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
20 ILCS 2105/2105-30   was 20 ILCS 2105/60p

    Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, provides that any license application or renewal form that the Department provides to a person shall include a waiver that gives the person the option to grant or deny permission to the Department to sell his or her information, as part of the roster of information including, but not limited to, his or her name, address, and profession, to a third party. Provides that the waiver shall clearly present this option and require the person to check a box marked "Yes" or a box marked "No". Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law of
5 the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6 changing Section 2105-30 as follows:
 
7     (20 ILCS 2105/2105-30)  (was 20 ILCS 2105/60p)
8     Sec. 2105-30. License forms; notification of abuse;
9 waiver.
10     (a) Beginning January 1, 2000, each license or permit
11 application or renewal form the Department provides to a person
12 who is required by law to report child abuse or elder abuse
13 must include a notification that the applicant or licensee is
14 required by law to report that abuse and must include telephone
15 numbers the licensee may call to report the abuse.
16     (b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the
17 contrary, any license application or renewal form that the
18 Department provides to a person shall include a waiver that
19 gives the person the option to grant or deny permission to the
20 Department to sell his or her information as part of the roster
21 of information including, but not limited to, his or her name,
22 address, and profession, to a third party. The waiver shall
