HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James
4 Carl Walker of Herrin, who passed away on September 1, 2009;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, James Carl Walker was born in Herrin on April 2,
7 1926, the son of Joe V. and Jane (Mitchell) Walker; he married
8 Carolyn Stotlar in Herrin on February 27, 1948; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He owned JV Walker and Sons Clothing Store in
10 Herrin; he served as past president of Heartland National Bank
11 in Herrin; he was a husband, father, grandfather, businessman,
12 entrepreneur, inventor (of bass baits), sportsman,
13 conservationist, bird watcher, volunteer, churchman,
14 missionary, and very good friend; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
16 grandson, James V. Walker; his brother, Joe Walker; and his
17 sister, Suzanne Walker; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Stotlar)
19 Walker; his daughter and son-in-law, Luann and Bill Tietze; his
20 son and daughter-in-law, James "Jay" W. and Trina Walker; his
21 grandsons, William James "B.J." Tietze and his wife Amanda,

1 Adam and Louis Tietze; his granddaughter-in-law, Abigail Lynn
2 and a soon-to-be born great-granddaughter; and his sister,
3 Sally Bates; therefore, be it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
6 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of James
7 Carl Walker; and be it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to the family of James Carl Walker as a symbol of our
10 sincere sympathy.
