HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Carolyn
4W. Bradley of Eldorado, who passed away on March 29, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carolyn Bradley was born on February 8, 1920, in
6Junction; her parents were Leonard Valentine and Georgia
7(Floyd) Winterberger; she married Edward A. "Shorty" Bradley
8Sr. on June 22, 1937; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carolyn Bradley was a retired teacher who had
10taught at Equality; she also served as the librarian at the
11Shawneetown school; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Carolyn Bradley was a faithful member of the
13Junction General Baptist Church, where she served her entire
14life as a member of the Women's Ministries, a Sunday school
15teacher, and supported foreign missions; she was also the
16treasurer of Mt. Olivet General Baptist's "One Day Women's
17Society" and the past vice-president and member of the Equality
18Tuesday Club; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Carolyn Bradley greatly loved her family and
20friends and enjoyed people; and

1    WHEREAS, Carolyn Bradley was preceded in death by her
2parents; her husband; her daughter, Alexis Carole Bradley; her
3sister, Gwendolyn Berry; her brother, Lt. Col. Charles L.
4Winterberger; and her aunt, Faye Winterberger; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carolyn Bradley is survived by her daughter,
6Marolyn and Herb Cowsert; her sons, Edward Jr. and Melanie
7Bradley, Floyd and Phyllis Bradley, and Mark and Cheryl
8Bradley; her grandchildren, Illinois State Representative John
9Edward and Amy Bradley, Jana and Bryan Bebout, Joshua and
10Allison Bradley, States Attorney Jeff and Michelle Bradley,
11Jaclyn Cowsert and her fiancee, Donny Dale, Lori Beth and Adam
12Porter, and Travis and Mallory Bradley; her special
13great-grandsons, Jackson Edward Bradley, Nolan Ty Bebout,
14Joshua Gabriel Bradley, Easton Bradley Bebout, Landon Ray
15Porter, and Cooper Mark Bradley; her sister, Marjorie and Bob
16Barnett; and her sisters-in-law, Gerama Bradley, Wilma
17Bradley, and Oleva Wintizer Winterberger; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of
21Carolyn W. Bradley; and be it further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23presented to the family of Carolyn Bradley as an expression of
