HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Lena-Winslow Panthers football team on the occasion of their 
5State championship victory at the IHSA Class 1A State 
6Tournament; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Lena-Winslow Panthers defeated Tuscola 47-14 
8at the Memorial Stadium in Champaign to secure victory in the 
9title game at the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament; the Panthers 
10ended their season with a phenomenal 12-1 record; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Lena-Winslow Panthers' victory earned the 
12school its first State championship in history; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The members of the Lena-Winslow Panthers football 
14team are Adam Wright, Casey Schroeder, Cole Logemann, Cody 
15Hooper, Jon Stockton, Evan Heer, Joe Edler, Art Schultz, Ben 
16Moest, Austin Mancosky, Adam Werhane, Jordan Eilders, Dylan 
17Gahm, Sean Cory, Collin Heer, Dylan Hastings, Ryan Wybourn, Pat 
18Muggler, Seth Dascher, Tyler Oakley, Quinn Haas, Tevin Sellers, 
19Kendall Gyland, Trey Griffin, Matt Greene, Zach Diaz, Mark

5    WHEREAS, The members of the Lena-Winslow Panthers serve as 
6models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people 
7of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
10congratulate the members of the Lena-Winslow Panthers football 
11team on their State championship and wish them continued 
12success and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Lena-Winslow Panthers  head coach Ric Arand as a 
15symbol of our esteem and respect.
