| AN ACT concerning wildlife.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Wildlife Habitat Management Areas Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 2.
In order to cooperate with private land owners and
|
| 8 |
| and others who
desire to aid in the conservation of game and |
| 9 |
| other wildlife, the
Department may create and maintain Wildlife |
| 10 |
| Habitat Management Areas on
suitable lands owned or controlled |
| 11 |
| by individuals, corporations,
associations, or municipalities. |
| 12 |
| The hunting rights for such land shall be
controlled by the |
| 13 |
| property owners in mutual agreement with the Department,
by |
| 14 |
| written contract with the landowner or person having legal |
| 15 |
| control and
authority to grant such rights for an uninterrupted |
| 16 |
| period of 5 years or
more. When properly signed, the Department |
| 17 |
| may authorize and empower the
director to execute such |
| 18 |
| agreements on its behalf. |
