AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3629

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3629 on page 1, by
3 deleting lines 4 through 23; and
 
4 on page 2, by deleting lines 1 through 10; and
 
5 on page 4, line 15, after the period, by inserting "A township,
6 county, or other unit of local government may not limit the
7 powers granted in Section 11-1620 of this Code."; and
 
8 on page 6, by inserting below line 1 the following:
9     "(j) Nothing in this Section shall limit the powers granted
10 in Section 11-1620 of this Code."; and
 
11 on page 7, line 23, by replacing "non-highway vehicle or a
12 recreational off-highway vehicle" with "all-terrain vehicle,
13 as defined by Section 1-101.8 of this Code, or a recreational
14 off-highway vehicle, as defined by Section 1-168.8 of this

2 on page 8, line 5, after the period, by inserting the
3 following:
4 "However, if the all-terrain vehicle or recreational
5 off-highway vehicle, as used in this Section, is not covered
6 under a motor vehicle insurance policy pursuant to subsection
7 (h) of Section 11-1605 of this Code, the vehicle must be
8 covered under a farm, home, or non-highway vehicle insurance
9 policy issued with coverage amounts no less than the minimum
10 amounts set for bodily injury or death and for destruction of
11 property under Section 7-203 of this Code. All-terrain or
12 recreational off-highway vehicles operated on a county or
13 township roadway at any time between one-half hour before
14 sunset and one-half hour after sunrise must be equipped with
15 head lamps and tail lamps, and the head lamps and tail lamps
16 must be lighted."; and
 
17 on page 8, line 6, by replacing "non-highway" with
18 "all-terrain"; and
 
19 on page 8, line 10, by replacing "non-highway" with
20 "all-terrain".
