SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow of Hoffman
4 Estates, who passed away on February 14, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Susan was a member of the District 211 school
6 board and Children's Advocacy Center board; she served as a
7 village trustee for 20 years, and was a past district director
8 for the Boy Scouts of America, a former president of the
9 Schaumburg Jaycees Women, as well as a youth softball and
10 soccer coach, an elder of Church of the Cross, and an avid
11 supporter of the Hoffman Estates High School girls cross
12 country team; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She owned Target Promotions for 14 years and most
14 recently worked for Cabela's; and
 
15     WHEREAS, She was a well respected member of the Hoffman
16 Estates community and will be remembered for her work as a
17 village trustee and volunteer to many service organizations;
18 and
 
19     WHEREAS, She is survived by her loving husband, Michael J.
20 Rupnow; she was the loving mother of Kristin (Jeff) Beutel,
21 Scott Kenley, and Kathleen Kenley; the dear grandmother of

1 Megan Beutel; the beloved daughter of John and Frances Harmon;
2 and the dear sister of John (Nancy) Harmon and Tom Harmon;
3 therefore, be it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6 her family and friends, the passing of Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow;
7 and be it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to the family of Susan Kenley-Rupnow as a symbol of
10 our sincere sympathy.
