SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Kenneth M. Bonder of Arlington Heights,
4 who passed away on March 25, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Kenneth M. Bonder was born in Oak Park, to the
6 late Michael and Estelle (nee Wojcik) Bonder; Mr. Bonder was a
7 graduate of Fenwick High School and the University of Dayton,
8 where he received his MPA; he married Dorice Maryanowski on
9 August 10, 1968; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He began his career as a budget analyst for the
11 city of Dayton, Ohio; he became the youngest finance director
12 in Illinois in 1969, as the finance director for the Village of
13 Arlington Heights, where he later became village manager; he
14 later served as city administrator for Prospect Heights and did
15 consulting work for the Village of Palatine and Village of
16 Wheeling; and
 
17     WHEREAS, His honesty, integrity, loyalty, and common sense
18 will be remembered by all; he was a member of St. Raymond
19 Parish, the International City Manager Association, the
20 Illinois City Manager Association, and the Illinois Government
21 Finance Association; he was a board member on the Government
22 Finance Association, the Arlington Heights Historical

1 Association, and Bayside Pointe, Williams Bay, Wisconsin; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Kenneth Bonder was preceded in death by his
3 sisters, Bernadette (Nick) Nemeth and Yvonne (George) Carlson;
4 his brother-in-law, Dr. David Stich; and his mother-in-law and
5 father-in-law, Jeanne and Leonard Maryanowski; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Kenneth Bonder is survived by his wife of 40
7 beautiful years, Dorice (nee Maryanowski); his son, Kraig (Amy)
8 Bonder; his daughter, Kendryn (Dr. Barry) McDonough; he was the
9 unforgettable Papa to Connor, Brock, and Quinn McDonough, and
10 Chase and Cole Bonder; he also leaves his sister-in-law, Danita
11 Stich; therefore, be it
 
12     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
13 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
14 his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth M. Bonder; and
15 be it further
 
16     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to the family of Kenneth Bonder as a symbol of our
18 sincere sympathy.
