SENATE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Dr. Moustafa "Mo" Naguib of Godfrey, who 
4
passed away on September 15, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Dr. Moustafa Naguib was born on December 5, 1939, 
6
in Cairo, Egypt; he was the son of Souour and Yousrya (El 
7
Sergany) Naguib; he married the former Linda George on March 
8
30, 1971 in St. Louis; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Dr. Moustafa Naguib was a practicing physician in 
10
the Alton area at such places as St. Anthony's Health Center in 
11
Alton; he specialized in urology medicine from 1971 until his 
12
retirement in 2007; he loved being a doctor and showed it 
13
through the care he gave to his patients; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Dr. Moustafa Naguib enjoyed being with his family 
15
and friends, playing tennis, riding his bike, and a good game 
16
of cards; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Dr. Moustafa Naguib was preceded in death by his 
18
parents and his sisters, Ida Naguib and Effat Naguib; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Dr. Moustafa Naguib is survived by his wife; his 
20
son and his spouse, John and Anita Johnson; his granddaughter,

Sydney Johnson; his grandson, John Adam Johnson; his sister, 
2
Nadia Naguib; and his many nieces and nephews, including Hassan 
3
Shoukry; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Dr. Moustafa "Mo" 
7
Naguib; and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Dr. Moustafa Naguib as an expression 
10
of our sympathy.
