SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cowden Police Officer Jeremy J. Hubbard
4of Watson, who was killed in the line of duty on August 10,
52010; and
 
6    WHEREAS, He was born October 8, 1975, in Effingham; he
7married Trisha Willenborg on May 16, 1998, in Effingham; he was
8a part-time sheriff's deputy for Effingham County and a
9part-time police officer for the village of Cowden; he also was
10a full-time painter and worked for Effingham Truck Sales; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father; he loved
12hunting, a passion he passed on to his sons; he also enjoyed
13fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers,
14anything that let him spend time outdoors with his wife and
15sons; he also enjoyed taxidermy and restoring cars; and
 
16    WHEREAS, He volunteered to help coach his son's baseball
17team, and also volunteered for K-9 search and rescue; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jeremy Hubbard was preceded in death by his
19brother, James Durham; his grandfather, Wes Hubbard; and his
20grandparents, Ray and Claudia Cole; and

1    WHEREAS, Jeremy Hubbard is survived by his wife, Trisha;
2his two sons, Dylan and Jordan Hubbard; his mother, Paula Rae
3Johnson; his sister, Julia (Matt) Poulter; his grandmother,
4Jean Hubbard; and his in-laws, Paul and Deb Willenborg;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8his family, friends, and the people that he served and
9protected, the passing of Officer Jeremy Hubbard; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Officer Jeremy Hubbard as a symbol
13of our sincere sympathy.
