| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2917

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2917 on page 72, | ||||||
| 3 | line 19, by deleting "civil"; and
| ||||||
| 4 | on page 74, line 10, by deleting "civil"; and | ||||||
| 5 | on page 92, by replacing line 5 with the following: | ||||||
| 6 | "federal laws. | ||||||
| 7 | (e) Nothing in this Act shall be construed to limit the | ||||||
| 8 | authority of a hospital pursuant to Section 65-45 of the Nurse | ||||||
| 9 | Practice Act to grant hospital clinical privileges to an | ||||||
| 10 | individual advanced practice nurse to select, order or | ||||||
| 11 | administer medications, including controlled substances to | ||||||
| 12 | provide services within a hospital. Nothing in this Act shall | ||||||
| 13 | be construed to limit the authority of an ambulatory surgical | ||||||
| 14 | treatment center pursuant to Section 65-45 of the Nurse | ||||||
| 15 | Practice Act to grant ambulatory surgical treatment center | ||||||
| 16 | clinical privileges to an individual advanced practice nurse to | ||||||
