SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
305 ILCS 5/5-5.2  from Ch. 23, par. 5-5.2

    Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall file a report with the General Assembly no later than April 1, 2012 detailing the payment methodology for reimbursement of nursing facility services to be implemented under specified provisions added by Senate Bill 3088 of the 96th General Assembly (in the event that bill becomes law). Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning public aid.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5changing Section 5-5.2 as follows:
 
6    (305 ILCS 5/5-5.2)  (from Ch. 23, par. 5-5.2)
7    Sec. 5-5.2. Payment.
8    (a) All Skilled Nursing Facilities that are grouped
9pursuant to Section 5-5.1 of this Act shall receive the same
10rate of payment for similar services. All Intermediate Care
11Facilities that are grouped pursuant to Section 5-5.1 of this
12Act shall receive the same rate of payment for similar
13services.
14    (b) It shall be a matter of State policy that the Illinois
15Department shall utilize a uniform billing cycle throughout the
16State for the following long-term care providers: skilled
17nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, and
18intermediate care facilities for persons with a developmental
19disability. The Illinois Department shall establish billing
20cycles on a calendar month basis for all long-term care
21providers no later than July 1, 1992.
22    (c) In the event that Senate Bill 3088 of the 96th General
23Assembly becomes law, the Department of Healthcare and Family

1Services shall file a report with the General Assembly no later
