HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert
4Carl Lubkeman of Antioch, who passed away on February 5, 2011;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Robert Carl Lubkeman was born in Antioch on August
713, 1934 and was a lifelong resident; he was the son of Arthur
8and Rose Lubkeman; he graduated from Antioch Township High
9School in 1952 and from Bradley University in 1956, where he
10was member of Theta Chi Fraternity; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and
12uncle as well as an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener,
13beekeeper, cook, and baker; and
 
14    WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army and Army
15Reserves where he was commissioned a First Lieutenant and
16served as company commander; he spent his career as a
17construction designer at the Antioch Lumber and Coal Company;
18Facilities Manager of the Harris Bank and Trust Company
19(Chicago); and National Facilities Manager of the A. C. Nielsen
20Company (Northbrook); he was also engaged in his own business,
21Lake Region Home Design; and

1    WHEREAS, He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran
2Church (Antioch), the Antioch Lions' Club, and he was a Paul
3Harris Fellow of the Antioch Rotary Club; he was the charter
4president of the Antioch Jaycees; and he was a member of the
5Southeastern Wisconsin Beekeepers' Association; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Robert Lubkeman is survived by his wife of 53
7years, Annette (nee Erickson); his sons, Marc (Nancy) and
8Matthew; his granddaughters, Britta, Erica, and Linnea
9Lubkeman; his brother, Donald (Justine); his niece, Joanne Witt
10(William); and his nephews, Kenneth and Lonnie; therefore, be
11it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
15Robert Lubkeman; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Robert Lubkeman as a symbol of our
18sincere sympathy.
