HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Melva
4Renea Taylor of Peoria, who passed away on April 14, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born on October 16, 1957, in Peoria, to
6Jesse and Reva (Maiden) Hunter; she later married Ronnie
7Taylor; and
 
8    WHEREAS, She served in many capacities at OSF Saint Francis
9Medical Center over her 28 years of service, last working as a
10phlebotomist; and
 
11    WHEREAS, She was a loving, caring mother who loved the
12Lord, most people, cooking, decorating, and listening to gospel
13music; she was a member of the City of Refuge Worship Center
14and a former member of the New Morning Star M.B. Church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; 3
16children at birth; her sister, Sarah Flowers; and her nephew,
17Joshua Hunter; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Melva Taylor is survived by her husband, Ronnie
19Taylor; her sons, Matthew Taylor, Ronnie Smith, and Dajon
20Taylor; her daughters, Mara Taylor, Renee Taylor, Nasla Fisher,

1Tiara Archie, and India Ceasar; her brothers, Jesse (Katherine)
2Hunter and George (Martha) Hunter; her sisters, Gurthie Cagle
3and Linda Ross; her 5 grandchildren; and a host of friends and
4family; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of
8Melva Taylor; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Melva Taylor as a symbol of our
11sincere sympathy.
