HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Paul E.
4Gardner of Bartonville, who passed away on April 21, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on September 11, 1928, in Peoria to
6Charles "Al" and Anna M. (Ketch) Gardner; he married Nancy Paul
7on December 21, 1979, in Eureka; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He served in the United States Navy at the end of
9World War II; and
 
10    WHEREAS, He was a 42-year journeyman electrician that
11worked out of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
12Local 34; and
 
13    WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in
14Bartonville; and
 
15    WHEREAS, He enjoyed the water and was a boater for over 20
16years; he enjoyed photography, flower gardening, and his
17grandchildren; and
 
18    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his 4
19brothers; and his sister; and

1    WHEREAS, Paul Gardner is survived by his wife, Nancy; his
2sons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gardner, Gerald Gardner, Daniel
3(Silvana) Gardner, and Benjamin (Tami) Gardner; his daughters,
4Christine (Steven) Simpson and Elizabeth Gardner; his stepson,
5Steven Paul; his stepdaughters, Sherry (Rex) Mustain and Sandra
6(John) Post; his sisters, Sister Lucille Gardner, Mildred
7Bannister, and Frances (Marvin) Ioeger; his 18 grandchildren;
8and his 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
12Paul Gardner; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Paul Gardner as a symbol of our
15sincere sympathy.
