Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning reporting of information in counties of greater than 300,000 but less than 2,000,000.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 5-1133 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (55 ILCS 5/5-1133) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-1133. Counties of greater than 300,000 but less than |
| 8 | | 2,000,000; reporting of information. A county board in in a |
| 9 | | county with a population greater than 300,000 but less than |
| 10 | | 2,000,000 may by ordinance require any unit of local government |
| 11 | | or agency to which the county board chairman or county |
| 12 | | executive nominates and the county board confirms a majority of |
| 13 | | member appointments to provide the county with detailed |
| 14 | | information, including, but not limited to, the unit's or |
| 15 | | agency's finances, budget, contracts, employment, and ethics |
| 16 | | policies, in the manner and with the frequency specified by the |
| 17 | | ordinance. The ordinance may require the unit of local |
| 18 | | government or agency to immediately disclose to the county any |
| 19 | | internal or external findings of non-compliance with any law or |
| 20 | | regulation involving the unit of local government or agency and |
| 21 | | its personnel.
