AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3571

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3571 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Early Intervention Services System Act is
5amended by changing Section 13.50 as follows:
 
6    (325 ILCS 20/13.50)
7    Sec. 13.50. Early Intervention Legislative Advisory
8Committee. No later than 60 days after the effective date of
9this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly August 9, 2001
10(the effective date of Public Act 92-307), there shall be
11convened the Early Intervention Legislative Advisory
12Committee. The majority and minority leaders of the General
13Assembly shall each appoint 2 members to the Committee. The
14Legislative Advisory Committee shall be dissolved, and the
15terms of its members shall expire, on September 1, 2016. The
16Committee Committee's term is for a period of 4 years, and the

1Committee shall publicly convene no less than 2 4 times per
2year. The Committee's responsibilities shall include, but not
3be limited to, providing guidance to the lead agency regarding
4programmatic and fiscal management and accountability,
5provider development and accountability, contracting, systems'
6coordination, and program outcome measures. During the life of
7the Committee, on a quarterly basis, or more often as the
8Committee may request, the lead agency shall provide to the
9Committee, and simultaneously to the public, through postings
10on the lead agency's early intervention website, quarterly
11reports containing monthly data and other early intervention
12program information that the Committee requests. The first data
13report must be supplied no later than October 31, 2012
14September 21, 2001, and must include the previous 2 quarters of
15data. The Ounce of Prevention Fund shall provide staff and
16administrative support services to the Committee.

18    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19becoming law.".
