SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bobbi Lynn (Sims) West of Benton, who
4passed away on September 28, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bobbi was born July 21, 1961, to Bob and Alice
6(Gray) Sims in Joliet; she was a 1979 graduate of Vienna High
7School and the school's homecoming queen her senior year; she
8worked at Marion Eye Center and later at Blue Cross Blue Shield
9in Marion; and
 
10    WHEREAS, She was an advocate for breast cancer awareness
11and annual mammogram check-ups; and
 
12    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice
13Sims; and her stepson, Travis West; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bobbi West is survived by her husband, Garry; her
15children, Heather (Upchurch) Roesch and husband, Jason, Kyle
16Upchurch, and Bailey Muir; her granddaughter, Jaylyn Roesch;
17her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherri Vick and husband, Mark
18and Lisa Brown and husband, James; her father and stepmother,
19Bob and Norma Sims; her nieces and nephews, Jonathan Vick and
20Allyson Vick and Benjamin Brown and AnnaKate Brown; her
21stepbrother, Darrin Kerr and his wife, Margaret, and their

1sons, Aidan and Collin; her special stepchildren from a
2previous marriage, Lyndsay Muir, Mackenzie (Muir) Broyles, and
3Caleb Muir; she is also survived by several aunts and uncles
4and countless friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7her family and friends, the passing of Bobbi West; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Bobbi West as a symbol of our
11sincere sympathy.
