SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Myrtle R. Tanner of Stonefort, who passed
4away on September 22, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born March 27, 1943, in Union County to
6the late Gus Hubert Rush and Myrtle Ivan Vaughn Rush; she was
7married on September 21, 1961, to James E. Tanner; and
 
8    WHEREAS, She was a member of Indian Camp Baptist Church and
9president of the Farm Bureau Women's Committee; she retired
10from Sam's Club in Marion; and
 
11    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and 5
12brothers; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Myrtle Tanner is survived by her husband, James E.
14Tanner; her children, Deborah (Karol) Hunter, Brian K. (Joann)
15Tanner, Carlos (Ellen) Tanner, and James W. (Melissa) Tanner;
16her brothers, Berchard Rush, Max (Janie) Rush, and Ted (Brenda)
17Rush; her sister, Elizabeth Thompson; and her grandchildren,
18Emily and Joshua Tanner, Ciara, Jadin, Macie, and Reed Tanner,
19and Clayton, Levi, Caroline, and Elliot Tanner; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3her family and friends, the passing of Myrtle Tanner; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Myrtle Tanner as a symbol of our
7sincere sympathy.
