SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stanley C. Fayfar, Sr. of Aurora, who
4passed away on November 5, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was born on April 8, 1920, in
6Aurora; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. served his country as an
8engineer with the United States Army during World War II;
9during the war, he built landing strips in Europe; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was a lifelong member of St.
11Joseph Church, where he served for many years as an usher; he
12was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Montgomery post of
13the V.F.W., and the Phoenix Club; he also called Bingo at St.
14Joseph Church for many years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was preceded in death by his
16first wife, Goldie (Sipos) Fayfar; his parents, Joseph and Mary
17Fayfar; and his brothers, Joseph Fayfar, Albert Fayfar, and
18Richard Fayfar; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. is survived by his wife, Agnes
20(Koos) Fayfar; his children, Kathleen (Dennis) Galloway,

1Marlene (John G.) Aister, Stanley C. (Sally Farner) Fayfar,
2Jr., Larry S. (Laura) Fayfar, and Gregory (Jan Mangers) Fayfar;
3his grandchildren, Christopher Galloway, Carrie (Nick)
4Schlosser, Nick Aister, Megan Aister, Scott (Melissa) Fayfar,
5Todd Fayfar, Lisa Fayfar, and Sean Fayfar; his 5 great
6grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be

8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of Stanley C. Fayfar, Sr.;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Stanley Fayfar, Sr. as an expression
14of our sympathy.
