SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Elizabeth Agnes Philyaw "Betsy" Boettle
4of Waukegan, who passed away on November 14, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born in Zion on December 13, 1929 and
6settled in Waukegan to make a career as a legal secretary and
7bring up her family; she enjoyed music, family, friends, her
8dogs, and reading; she advocated for animal rescue and was a
9supporter of the local animal shelter; and
 
10    WHEREAS, She was a gracious listener and will be remembered
11as being a constant and steadfast presence to many who knew and
12loved her; and
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha
14and A. Everett Philyaw; her husband; Walter Boettle; her
15brothers, Chester Philyaw, George Philyaw, and Raymond
16Philyaw; and her sister, June Strezo; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Elizabeth Agnes Philyaw "Betsy" Boettle is
18survived by her daughter, Roberta A. Ross; her son, Randy M.
19Ross; her sisters, Barbara Kessler and Pat Camper; her
20sister-in-law, Gladys Philyaw; her grandchildren, Rand Matthew
21Ross, Remington Ross, Katie Lynn Mucklevane, and Talon Vincente

1Walter Ross; and her many nieces, nephews, and special nephew,
2Steve Strezo; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
5her family and friends, the passing of Elizabeth Agnes Philyaw
6"Betsy" Boettle; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Elizabeth Agnes Philyaw "Betsy"
9Boettle as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
