SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Maurice "Bub" Connoyer of Godfrey, who
4passed away on January 23, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born February 9, 1934, in Alton, the son of
6Edward and Marguerite (Dwiggins) Connoyer; he married Marian
7"Dickie" Zimmermann at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church
8in Bethalto on June 4, 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, He was a bricklayer for Bricklayers Local No. 8
10and No. 65 for 43 years; he was a member of St. Patrick's
11Church in Grafton and a past member of Our Lady Queen of Peace
12Catholic Church in Bethalto; he was a member of the Knights of
13Columbus; and
 
14    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his son, James Edward
15Connoyer; his parents; his brothers, Thomas Connoyer and Dennis
16Connoyer; his sisters, Alice Richardson and Ann Darr; and his
17father and mother-in-law, Dick and Ann Zimmermann; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Maurice Connoyer is survived by his daughters and
19sons-in-law, Ellen Connoyer Case (Kevin), Mary Ann Klunk
20(William), Julie Connoyer (Tim Eckels), and Christy Connoyer;
21his grandchildren, Greg Harkey, Eric Harkey, and Kaleb

1Connoyer; his stepgrandchild, Theresa Mosby; his
2great-grandchildren, Eric James Harkey, Michaela Davis, and
3Kayla Bruhn; his brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Sandy
4Connoyer; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7his family and friends, the passing of Maurice Connoyer; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Maurice Connoyer as a symbol of our
11sincere sympathy.
