SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lori L. Groetken of Bloomington, who
4passed away on December 28, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born July 15, 1958, in Bloomington, the
6daughter of Ken and Char Gunderson Huff; she married Cecil D.
7Groetken on June 12, 1982, in Bloomington; and
 
8    WHEREAS, She was a 1976 graduate of Bloomington High
9School; she worked at Afni for 13 years and was an education
10manager; she was a member of Lakeside Country Club,
11Bloomington; she enjoyed golf and was an avid Cubs fan; and
 
12    WHEREAS, She founded the Groetken Foundation for
13Pancreatic Cancer Research; she started an annual golf outing
14at Lakeside Country Club for the benefit of the Siteman Cancer
15Center in St. Louis, Missouri; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lori Groetken is survived by her husband, Cecil;
17her father, Ken (Judy) Huff; her mother, Char Huff; her son,
18Christopher L. Groetken; her brothers, Steve Huff and Stan
19(Margie) Huff; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cyril
20(Pauline) Groetken, Michael (Mary Jane) Groetken, Richard
21(Kathy) Groetken, Pete (Donna) Groetken, Pat (Ron) Washburn,

1Mary (Dale) Jones, Bob (Debbie) Groetken, and Debbie (Jim)
2Weddingfeld; her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and
3great-nephews; and her dog, Cubby; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6her family and friends, the passing of Lori Groetken; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Lori Groetken as a symbol of our
10sincere sympathy.
