SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Buddy Ingersoll of Zeigler, who passed
4away on March 10, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born May 29, 1941, in Cleburne to William
6Howard and Ruby Ellen (Summers) Ingersoll; he married Joyce
7(Fasig) Ingersoll on September 2, 1961; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mr. Ingersoll was a former professional drag racer
9and world champion, running cars for Ford, Chrysler, and
10Oldsmobile; he also was self-employed in auto repair and
11restoration; and
 
12    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
13stepfather, Norman Childers; his sisters, Victoria Ingersoll,
14Mona Loucks, Joann Wright, and Betty Key; and his brothers,
15Donny Ingersoll, Jerry Ingersoll, Ronald Ingersoll, and Roger
16Ingersoll; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Buddy Ingersoll is survived by his wife, Joyce;
18his children, Terri Ingersoll, Mark and Wendy Ingersoll, and
19Shaun Ingersoll; his grandchildren, Amber Hefner, Mercedes
20Ingersoll, and Diego Cano and Gracee Ingersoll; his
21great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Amaya, and Bronx Hefner; his

1brothers and sisters, LeRoy and Kay Ingersoll, Norman and Mary
2Childers, Mike Childers, Donny Childers, Alice and Frank
3Keller, Melodie Earnheart, and Janet and Steve Davis; and
4several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7his family and friends, the passing of Buddy Ingersoll; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Buddy Ingersoll as a symbol of our
11sincere sympathy.
