SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of John Thomas Larimer of
4Crystal Lake, who passed away on July 20, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Larimer was born on February 16, 1985, to
6Scott Murray and Kathleen Mary (Lavin) Larimer; he graduated
7from Crystal Lake South High School in 2003; he was active with
8the speech team, theater, band, and the academic team; in
9middle school he was a member of the Future Problem Solvers; he
10was also active in Boy Scouts and he had early jobs at a movie
11theater and a Chili's restaurant; he graduated from the
12University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2008 with a dual degree
13in both political science and history; he was involved with the
14History Honors Society; and
 
15    WHEREAS, John Larimer was 4th generation U.S. Navy; he
16graduated from basic training at Great Lakes in 2011 and then
17from Cryptology Service School in Pensacola, Florida; he was
18currently serving as a Cryptologist Technician at Buckley
19Airforce Base in Aurora, Colorado; and
 
20    WHEREAS, John Larimer gave the ultimate sacrifice, his
21life, while protecting those around him from harm; and

1    WHEREAS, John Larimer was preceded in death by his paternal
2grandparents, John and Margaret Larimer; his maternal
3grandfather, Thomas Lavin; and his uncle, Nolan Larimer; and
 
4    WHEREAS, John Larimer is survived by his parents, Scott and
5Kathleen; his siblings, Nora (USAF Capt. Jacob) Wilwert, Anne
6(Andrew) Price, Beth (Colin) Croft, and Noel Larimer; his
7maternal grandmother, Joan Lavin; his maternal
8great-grandmother, Anne Schupolsky; his aunts, Randee Larimer
9and Karen Lavin; his uncles, Thomas (Lynda) and Kevin Lavin;
10his nieces and nephews, Jack, Leah, and Alec Wilwert, Emily
11Price, and Liam Croft; and many family and friends; therefore,
12be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15John Larimer, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
20sympathy.
