SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter Stanley March, who passed away on
4August 20, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter March was born on January 4, 1927, in North
6Chicago; his parents were Frank and Ewa March; he married Anna
7Paquette on July 10, 1954; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Walter March served his country with pride as a
9member of the United States Army during World War II in the
10Philippines; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Walter March retired from Fansteel Metallurgical
12Corporation after 41 years of dedicated service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Walter March enjoyed spending time with his family
14and watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Walter March was a member of the Veterans of
16Foreign Wars and the Polish Legion of American Veterans
17(Casimir Pulaski Post 25); he was also a member of the
18International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers
19Union; and

1    WHEREAS, Walter March was preceded in death by his wife,
2Anna; his brother, Anthony; his sisters, Lillian, Frances,
3Josephine, and Stella; and his parents; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Walter March is survived by his daughter, Theresa
5March; his sons, Ron (Paulette), Jim (Christa), and Tim
6(Carrie) March; his grandchildren, TJ and Loran March and
7Colton Chapman (fiance, Loran); his step-grandchildren, Adam
8Hawkins, Jeff Fisher, and Shawn Fisher; and his many nieces and
9nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12his family and friends, the passing of Walter Stanley March;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Walter March as an expression of our
16sympathy.
