SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Robert S. Anderson of
4Waukegan, who passed away on September 22, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Anderson was born on April 22, 1928, in
6Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident; he graduated from
7Waukegan High School in 1946, and served with the 1st Airborne
8Division in the U.S. Army; he married Lorraine M. Drahos on
9October 28, 1950; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Anderson worked for ComEd for 38 years and
11retired in 1988; he was a member of the Loyal Order of the
12Moose, Zion Benton #667 and Sportsman Club; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Anderson was an avid fisherman; he spent a
14lot of time on his boat on Lake Michigan and took trips to
15Canada on Lake Superior; his winter passion was to work on
16model trains; each spring he planted hundreds of flowers and
17landscaped his yard; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert Anderson was preceded in death by his wife,
19Lorraine and his father, Clarence E. Anderson; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Anderson is survived by his children, Vicki

1(Tim) Parker, Craig Anderson, and Lynn Anderson (Dave Kennedy);
2his grandchildren, Brian (Kris) Nichols, Charles (Tracy)
3Nichols, and Patrick Parker; his 6 great-grandchildren; his
4sister, Betty Brown; and his 2 nieces and a nephew; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Robert Anderson, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Robert Anderson as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
