SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Reduces the FY2014 appropriation to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for grants and administrative expenses associated with community-based violence prevention programs from $15,000,000 to $3,000,000; after school programs from $10,000,000 to $350,000; and the Chicago Area Project from $5,000,000 to $2,100,000. Effective immediately.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. “An Act making appropriations”, Public Act 98-50, approved July 2, 2013, is amended by changing Sections 95, 100, and 105 to Article 6 as follows:

Sec. 95. The sum of $3,000,000
$15,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated
from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information
Authority for grants and administrative expenses associated with
community-based violence prevention programs.

Sec. 100. The sum of $350,000
$10,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated
from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information
Authority for grants and administrative expenses associated with after school
programs.

Sec. 105. The sum of $2,100,000
$5,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from
the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority
for administrative costs and grants to the Chicago Area Project.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
