| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Medical District Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 10 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 915/10) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 5020)

| 7 | | Sec. 10. Disposition of money. The Commission is authorized |
| 8 | | to use all money received from the sale or lease of any |
| 9 | | property, in excess of the amount as may be necessary to |
| 10 | | satisfy the obligation of any revenue bond issued pursuant to |
| 11 | | Section 5 and may also use all
money received as rentals for |
| 12 | | the purposes of planning, acquisition, and
development of |
| 13 | | property within the District and operation, maintenance and
|
| 14 | | improvement of property of the Commission and for all purposes |
| 15 | | and powers set
forth in this Act. The Commission shall annually |
| 16 | | enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Auditor |
| 17 | | General, who shall, at
least biennially, audit or cause to be |
| 18 | | audited by a certified public accountant all records and |
| 19 | | accounts of
the Commission pertaining to the operation of the |
| 20 | | District. The Commission Auditor General shall provide the |
| 21 | | Commission and the General Assembly with the audits and shall |
| 22 | | post a copy on the Commission's his or her website. The Auditor |
| 23 | | General shall submit a bill to the Commission for costs |
