AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 479




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 479 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Illinois Medical District Act is amended  by 
5changing Section 10 as follows:
 



6    (70 ILCS 915/10)  (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 5020)



7    Sec. 10. Disposition of money. The Commission is authorized 
8to use all money received from the sale or lease of any 
9property, in excess of the amount as may be necessary to 
10satisfy the obligation of any revenue bond issued pursuant to 
11Section 5 and may also use all
money received as rentals for 
12the purposes of planning, acquisition, and
development of 
13property within the District and operation, maintenance and

14improvement of property of the Commission and for all purposes 
15and powers set
forth in this Act. The Commission shall annually 
16enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Auditor

1General, who shall, at
least biennially, audit or cause to be 
2audited by a certified public accountant all records and 
3accounts of
the Commission pertaining to the operation of the 
4District. The Commission Auditor General shall provide the 
5Commission and the General Assembly with the audits and shall 
6post a copy on the Commission's his or her website. The Auditor 
7General shall submit a bill to the Commission for costs 
8associated with the review and the audit required under this 
9Section, and the Commission shall reimburse the Auditor General 
10for such costs in a timely manner.

12    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
13becoming law.".
