AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2615

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2615, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 2, line 2, by adding after "gradients." the following:

""Aquifer" is limited to aquifers identified as major sand and gravel aquifers in the Illinois State Water Survey's Illinois Community Water Supply Wells map, Map Series 2006-01."; and

on page 12, line 4, by replacing "Except as otherwise provided, the" with "The"; and

on page 12, line 14, by replacing "The" with "Except as otherwise provided, the"; and

on page 16, line 10, by replacing "$5,000,0000" with "$5,000,000"; and

on page 22, line 21, by replacing "$5,000,0000" with "$5,000,000"; and

on page 26, by replacing lines 6 though 13 with the following:

"(c) The applicant shall provide the following public notice:

(1) Applicants shall mail specific public notice by U.S. Postal Service certified mail, return receipt requested, within 3 calendar days after submittal of the high volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing permit application to the Department,"; and

on page 26, line 23, by inserting "horizontal" after "volume"; and

on page 27, line 16, by inserting "a" after "for"; and

on page 35, by replacing lines 21 through 25 with "modification"; and

on page 61, line 1, by inserting "or flaring" after "venting"; and

on page 63, line 14, by replacing "98%," with "98% and"

on page 66, line 10, by inserting "in the base fluid" after "concentration"; and

on page 72, line 25, by replacing "application" with "applicant"; and

on page 74, line 20, by inserting "horizontally" after "feet"; and

on page 75, by replacing lines 20 through 21 with the following: "which are subjected to sampling under subsection (b) of this Section sampled and tested in the same manner 6"; and

on page 103, line 17, by replacing "15" with "25".
